Spirit Burst

For a sage subclass whose entire arsenal relies on summoning other creatures to attack and defend for them, conjurers have few cards to play when an enemy manages to get past their summons. While they can conjure swords and shields, one of their most useful spells in such a scenario is the spirit burst. The spell allows the caster to "summon" themselves a few feet away. Though the range is small, it only takes a quick hop to get behind your opponent and catch them by surprise.

Effect

The spell allows the user to walk through the spirit world a short distance before they reappear in the physical world - essentially "teleporting" to another area within range.

Side/Secondary Effects

It's possible that the caster may not fully fade into the spirit world, in which case physical attacks will still be able to reach them, though to less harm than if they hadn't cast the spell in the first place. The only way to combat such a mistake is to practice the spell as often as possible.

The spirit world is as mysterious as the depths of the ocean. It's somehow both physical and spiritual - it exists alongside Vana and yet can't be reached unless by portal. Should there be something in the spirit world that overlaps with the physical world, it may prevent the caster from moving to their desired destination. Basically, they might run into an invisible spiritual object and fall back into the physical world before they're ready.
