Refine Ore

The first and most important step to blacksmithing is to refine any ore intended for use. Trying to fashion weapons out of iron riddled with extraneous minerals is, well, pointless. So before attempting theShape Metal spell on a hunk of ore, the caster must first refine it.

Refine a chunk of ore to prepare it for shaping.

Discovery

The chunk of ore will float and bubble as any impurities rise to the surface and fall away. At the end of it, the purified metal gleams.
