Nightmare

Enchanters rarely, if ever, take part in direct confrontation. If they do, it isn't uncommon for them to pack a spell like nightmare to take care of their enemies. It will not only distract the target, but it may cause those under the spell to harm themselves or their teammates.   Should the target realize that they're under a spell, they can break out of it by pulsing their aura. It's also possible for another person to break the enchantment as long as they're not caught in one of their own. Only a spell that either causes pain or wipes away confusion or other magical effects will work.

Effect

The spell effects each target differently, seeing as it draws upon their worst fear to create the illusion. While it can be cast on a group of people at the same time, each is under the spell separately. The enchantment fools the affected into seeing their worst nightmare unfold before them, though no one else can see it.   The affected can still move and use magic if they have it, but they'll be firing it off at illusions and possibly their comrades. While it is possible for the caster to take their leave as the target is busy fighting off illusions, they want to at least leave themselves in the illusion so as not to alert the target of the deception. If the target realizes what is happening, they can break out of the illusion.

Manifestation

The only one who can see the illusions is the one under the spell. The caster can see the illusions and change them if they focus, but they can tell the difference between the illusion and the real world.

In order to cast the spell, the enchanter must be able to either make eye contact with the target or be able to touch them. If one of these conditions is met, then the target falls under the caster's spell.
