Well, good thing for transmuters stuck in this oddly specific situation, someone before them needed this spell for... probably a different reason, but they needed it. You no longer have to worry about what color something is if you can change it. And most importantly: you can keep changing it. This is one of the spells that's given transmuters such a zany reputation. Pink hair, blue clothes, purple dogs... fun stuff.
