Breath of Wind

'It's hot out today,' an ancient tempest sage thought to themselves one day. 'I need something to cool down... but I don't want to get wet...'   And so, this spell was created.   To be honest, I highly doubt that's how that happened, but that's how my good friend learned this spell. It's a simple one to master and typically used by children to play pranks on friends or elders. Or, for the more unsavory types, it can be used to lift up women's skirts. (Consequently, the practice of such ill-tempered trickery brought forth a rebellion of skirts, and is why most common girls and women today wear breeches).   For the unambitious sage, this spell has a great many everyday uses: including spreading seeds over a wide area faster than a whole team of farmers.

Effect

A simple spell that is little more than a puff of air. Enough to offer a cool breeze to someone, or blow dust off the nice china before the family comes to visit for the holidays.

Side/Secondary Effects

To the inexperienced, using this spell may result in shortened breath for a brief period, but the effects aren't lasting. It's generally a safe spell to experiment with for children even before they're able to walk. Just make sure they don't accidentally knock over that fancy vase your mother-in-law gave to you on your wedding day. The results aren't pretty.

If, for whatever reason, a sage can't breathe - well, they have more immediate problems than not being able to cast this spell - but they can't hope to cast the spell without their breath.
