Werewolf

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Werewolves or Lycans are huge human-like creatures. They have huge muscle mass, the face of a wolf and fur covering their entire body.

Genetics and Reproduction

Werewolves can reproduce in two ways, through natural conception of a child and through biting a human.
A child born between a human and a werewolf, though unlikely in this day in age, is always guaranteed to be a werewolf.
A child born between a vampire and a were wolf are always guaranteed to be a Hybrid.
Human-werewolf hybrids are impossible, but a werewolf-vampire hybrid can be created through the normal methods if done in a certain amount of time one after the other. This timing is fairly delicate and doing it too late can cause the person to die.

Ecology and Habitats

Werewolves typically prefer wooded areas with a good supply of prey. They can survive in both hot and cold climates.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They have a mostly meat dietary and eat much more than an average human or animal.

Biological Cycle

There was once a time where these beasts were more than just so. They had the ability to transform between beast and human, or even into a wolf form at will or during the full moon. They, however, lost this ability as the time passed.
Full moons and new moons have especially affected the werewolves the most.
Each full moon, however brought confusion and disarray. They were unable to think and more often than not the wolves would go on rampages. They were cursed to roam in the beast for the entire night hunting for prey. Their minds were however at their clearest during a new moon, their strength at their weakest.
Each full moon brought losing control more and more until eventually they became the mindless, instinctual roaming beasts they are today.
The moon phases still affect them deeply. During full moons they are at their full strength, much more aggressive and are more likely to attack prey for fun.
During the new moon they are at their weakest. Their minds do become clearer, like they are aware they are lost and confused. Like something is missing. They tend to spend these nights within the confines of their territories and will spend it howling and whining, as if mourning a loss.
During hotter weather they shed more while during colder weathers they gain a thicker coat of fur. Similarly they put on a bit more weight during the colder months but lose it during the spring.

They hunt in packs following 2 Alpha mates.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The hunters of The United Front aren’t their only enemies, however. They have had a growing feud against vampires for centuries now for the land to hunt. It began when werewolves, having outstayed their welcome elsewhere stumbled onto the vampires lands and trying to forcefully take it. 
However, the vampires did not take that well and fought back.
Another major enemy of werewolves are witches. Werewolves have developed a deep hatred for witches that have only grown deeper the more humanity they lost.
