Thyzgui

The Image in the Stained Windows

War. Victory. A prophet of blood-stained wealth.
These are all things that a Thyzgui brings to mind, with twisted, antler-like horns grasping at the sky, sand-colored fur shining under the sun, and long, sharp fangs dripping with liquid gold.   But things aren't all as they say.

The Beast's True Nature

If you tried to tell anyone what a Thyzgui is truly like, they would immediately think of some kind of aggressive monster, like their public image wasn't tainted enough. This angry, blood-thirsty beast is even farther away from the true personality of a Thyzgui.   In reality, Thyzguies are very social. So social that if you don't attack one within the first few minuets of coming across one it will follow and play with you like some kind of horned puppy. That isn't to say they aren't still dangerous— That golden liquid that they have seemingly in place of saliva is actually a deadly venom. One bite can deliver enough venom to infuse their prey with magic to the point they just die even before the other fun things kick in. They aren't afraid to use it as well; if you turn a weapon on one it will bite you.   That about sums up how different these guys are from the public image. No fancy, mysterious prophets of the woods, just oversized puppies who have too much venom in them.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Thyzguis are quadrupedal creatures, with a similar anatomical structure to wolves with only a few large differences such as very thin legs, a longer neck, and the horns. They usually have tan or sand-colored fur, though white and black variants are not uncommon.   Their venom glands are placed inside the roof of their mouth, and usually runs down grooves in their canine teeth. Sometimes these glands will make too much venom, and the unfortunate Thyzgui either dies from swallowing too much of its own venom or manages to get the venom out.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Most Thyzguis live in groups of three or four, or packs of up to 11. Those of higher status usually wear stolen jewelry or loose necklaces with shiny rocks on them.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Like most monsters, Thyzguis have an ability to sense magic in a small range. They also have impressive hearing.
