Calistria's Kiss International

The last Moonday of Calor began with the party – minus Graak – travelling to the dockway at dawn to board a ship that joined a fleet of more than two dozen other vessels in the Gleaming Sea.   The party were taken by rowboat to a massive galleon that sat in the centre of the other ships. Once it had dropped them off, the rowboat immediately left.   After a few moments of waiting the party saw what they would be fighting – a stone giant.   The fight was spectacular, with the party surrounding the stone giant and slowly chipping away health as Gregory made his way around the boat freeing the sails and harnesses in an attempt to tangle the giant. He wasn’t strong enough to turn the boom control on his own, so Badaar broke away from the fight to take over and Gregory rejoined the fight, summoning his Spirit Knights (2 this time) to aid in the battle.   The movement of the sails injured the giant but was unable to push it into the sea as the party had hoped. Just as the tide of the battle began to turn and both Greg and Eiyo had to withdraw to heal, Badaar returned to the combat and was able to drive his axe into the creature’s back, which sent it crashing down.   The force of its body landing splintered the ship in half and the vessel began to sink. Eiyo and Greg were able to keep their footing but Badaar and Loodachris fell into the water, where the giant was able to take hold of Loodachris.   The wizard was able to use his staff to leverage the giant’s thumb and escape, but was nearly dragged down as the remains of the ship sank beneath the water’s surface.   Finally away from the wreckage, the party were picked up by the rowboat and returned to Nev’s ship to thunderous applause.   They ask Nev how the hell he got hold of a stone giant, but he just says he has his ways.   When they return to shore, they see Nev and Vinder speaking to one another and guess that Vinder is the one who helped Nev get the giant.   Following the fight, and flush with cash, Eiyo goes to Vinder’s and asks if he would sell her a belt of physical perfection on finance, with her paying 2,000gp now, and then paying the rest in instalments.   Vinder agrees and tells her he will give her the belt for 2,000gp now, and 50% of her future earnings.   Eiyo, blinded by the prospect of the belt, doesn’t agree specifics with Vinder and agrees to sign a blank contract that he produces and says he will fill in later.   She also lists her sister, Twr, as a guarantor. While trying to spell out her name, it becomes clear Vinder is aware of who Twr is, and at one point Eiyo is certain she heards Vinder mention “hooves”.   With the deal done, Vinder unfastens his travelling cloak to reveal the belt around his waist, along with many others. HE takes it off and gives it to Eiyo.
