Gemalia Origin Story

In the old days, before the Unsteady Wars, when the First King was still in power, 7 beasts ran away from home to adventure. Thier names were Fire, the Feathkara, Water, the Okebye, Earth, the Speedacon, Air, the Gemalian, Life, the Whispelt, Magic, the Soul Singer, Shadow, the Dangerhorn, and Neutral, the Mudjumper.   Unfortunately, they happened upon Glentan. He tricked them into creating the plans for a huge energy mill. built to collect the Sun and Moon themselves. When they had finished, Glentan rewarded them by imprisoning them in creative ways. He sentenced them thier Kinds to individual tortures.   The Feathkara became entirely fixated on owning Sun and Moon energy, pursuing it relentlessly. Fire herself was extremely zealous.   The Okebye became apathetic, as in to the rest of the world, and migrated to the Deeplands, concocting merciless Experiments on anybody unfortunate enough to happen upon them. The ancestors of the Arachnidads happened upon them, were amazed by how advanced the civilization was, and managed to join that civilization, gaining some of the idiology before being kicked out.   The Speedacons (and Speedriders) were suddenly struck with the conviction that they should help the slavers, becoming slaves themselves in thier devotion.
The Gemalians lost thier power of speech and guarded Gemalia for the rest of thier entire lives.
The Wispelts dissapated into voices on the wind that led others away from danger. Life himself was shy, and angry because of it.
The Soulsingers, who used to be able to see destinies, now hid thier faces with irrational fear.

The Dangerhorns became mean, manipulative, and as clever as Glentan himself.
