The buildings are made up of boats and the capital is protected by a boat train, making craftsmanship of value. The biggest occupations are fishing, shipbuilders, and enchanters mostly because Sjoland is located along the coast. Cooked fish is in almost every meal and seasoned and prepped in many different ways.

History

Innovation History

Boat-Train I.1

In 1453 Mari Hoffurt invented the standard implementation of what would become the modern Boat-train. The I.1, much like its successors, was semi-aquatic rail mounted vehicle that was designed to ford bodies of water, including areas of ocean, as well as typical ground. It's high speed and ability to protect its cargo was able to quickly drive older cart and foot traffic into obsolescence in most applications. Today the original boat train is a mobile museum.

Trade History

Port Yasgrovv

Built by Adrian Garness, named after his father Yasgrovv Garness after he died at sea. Construction began in 523 once the settlement of Sjoland was established by Adrian. Construction was completed in 527 but has seen continued additions as needs became apparent. Port Yasgrovv is recognized as being the largest seaport in the world, bringing incredible amounts of trade into and out of Vranor, most notably warforged. The port also has multiple drydocks for producing the hardy vessels required to brave the ludicrously dangerous seas of Valmet. By that same virtue, it also the premier repair bay for most sea going vessels.
