Warlock: Pact of the Ouroboros

Your patron is a powerful magic being that has travelled back in time to alter the course of history. It has chosen to set you on this path so you can bring about the change it is no longer able to. Although restricted by the laws of time and keepers of order, it shares what information of the future it can. While it may not explain in detail to you its purpose, you know your patron's guidance will help you shape the future.  

Expanded Spell List

The Ouroboros lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Seer's Guidance

At 1st level, you can share your patron's guidance with others. You learn the Guidance cantrip, which counts as a warlock cantrip for you and doesn't count against your number of spells known.  

Combat Training

At 1st level, your patron has trained you to better face the dangers ahead. You gain proficiency with medium armour, shields, and martial weapons.   The influence of your patron also allows you to mystically channel your will through a particular weapon. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch one weapon that you are proficient with and that lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon's type.  

Timed Trial

At 6th level, you learn to magically ward yourself against attack and to take advantage of enemy's failed strikes. When a creature makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that roll. If the attack misses you, the next attack against that creature has advantage.   You can use this feature three times. You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.  

Future Secrets

By 10th level, your patron shares with you hidden knowledge about the workings of magic items. You gain the following benefits:
  • You can attune to up to four magic items at once.
  • You ignore all class, race, spell and level requirements on attuning to or using a magic item.
 

A Future Past

At 14th level, your patron allows you to directly inquire about its knowledge. As an action, you may name or describe a person, place, or object. Your patron then fills your mind with a brief summary of significant lore about the thing you named. The lore might consist of current tales, forgotten stories, or even secret lore that is not widely known. The more information you already have, the more precise and detailed the information you receive is.   The information you learn is accurate, but may be crouched in figurative language or riddles. Additionally, your patron can only share with you information it actually knows.   You must finish a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.
