Dhamphir Features

  • Ability Score Increase: Increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different ability scores by 1. If you are replacing your race with this lineage, replace any Ability Score Increase you previously had with this.
  • Creature Type: You are a Undead.
  • Age: Dhamphirs age and mature at the same rate as whatever race they were before their transformation. Afterwards, dhamphirs cease to age and remain in that state until their death.
  • Size: You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you gain this lineage.
  • Speed: Your walking speed is 35 feet.
  • Ancestral Legacy: If you replace a race with this lineage, you can keep the following elements of that race: any skill proficiencies you gained from it and any climbing, flying, or swimming speed you gained from it.
    • If you don't keep any of those elements or you choose this lineage at character creation, you gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.
  • Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colours in that darkness as shades of grey.
  • Deathless Nature: You don't need to breathe, and you have resistance to necrotic damage.
  • Feast of Blood: When you drain blood with your Vampiric Bite ability, you experience a surge of vitality. Your speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain advantage on Strength and Dexterity checks and saving throws for 1 minute.
  • Vampiric Bite: Your fangs count as natural weapons, which you can use to drain the blood and life energy from a willing creature, or one that is grappled by you, incapacitated, or restrained. Make an unarmed attack roll against the creature, which automatically succeeds on a willing target. On a hit, the target takes necrotic damage equal to 1d10 + your Constitution modifier. The target’s hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken, and you regain hit points equal to that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0. This feature’s damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).
  • Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. If you are replacing your race with this lineage, you retain any languages you had and gain no new languages.
