Utility

I.R.I.S.: A built-in assistant AI for Sentinels. Independent Research & Information Sentry. Symbol: Wings
Adaptability: Sentinels from Gen 1.3 and later are made with highly reconfigurable limbs, allowing the use of other species’ technology. Additionally, their nano-cells automatically generate grenades, allowing for a near-unlimited supply.
Regenability: Sentinels Gen 2 and beyond are equipped with nano-cells filled with nanobots, which allows them to repair themselves while on the field. They are not unlimited, though more can be easily created from scavenged materials.
Deployment: Rift transport allows for Sentinels to deploy short-range from their ships. From their, they can toss markers to shift a ground vehicle from their ship to them.
Retrieval: Sentinels are equipped with built-in shift-markers, allowing them to easily return to their ships. If destroyed, their ship will attempt to locate and retrieve their nano-cells, which double as a black box. If a sentinel is destroyed, another Sentinel can increase their redeployment speed via placing a Marker.
Resilience: Sentinels Gen 2 and later are built with graphene-nanoalloy plating, making them lighter while still being highly resistant to weaponry. They’re also waterproof.
Awareness: Sentinels are equipped with a thermal radar, allowing them to locate nearby enemies and vehicles.
Modularity: Sentinels have room for various optional upgrades throughout their bodies, allowing them a sense of self, as well as options for all situations.

Manufacturing

The first generation were manufactured by Valkyrian labs in Sydney Australia. Later, they were manufactured aboard the Hope. They are difficult to mass produce.

Sentinels were created by The Raven, a member of the Aesir, as the result of the Omega Project. A last ditch effort to protect humanity.
