Captain Silver Fox is infamous in Cloudy Bay as 1 of 4 pirate brothers who sail and operate in the bay. Many people fear the brothers and only speak with them to trade.
The Captain owned 2 ships, The Silver Vixen (in the care of his First Mate: Coxswain Walthorn) and The Silver Fox. The Silver Fox was his pride and joy, being the main ship that he sailed out with but it now laid at the bottom of the sea courtesy of Dahlia Di Mare. He had stopped in Port Jasper was feeling lucky that day, and when he saw the comely lass playing with cards in the corner of the tavern, he decided to take her up on a game of chance.
Soon after a few rounds, money interchanged and a copious amount of alcohol consumed, they decided to up the ante. Dahlia had wanted to take The Silver Fox out for a sail and he had wanted to have her sail with him on his next trade to have her company for the trip. She had somehow won him over with her charm. Dahlia won the game and as promised, he allowed her to take the ship out that afternoon. He wanted to impress her with his ship.
That was a big mistake, Dahlia had somehow managed to sink his ship. Luckily, they were able to get to the lifeboat and rowed their way back with the few crew members who survived. Back on land, he demanded that she get him a new ship or there would be consequences. Dahlia promised him that she would and they parted ways. He boarded The Silver Vixen the next day.
When he got back into Port Jasper, he made inquiries about Dahlia's whereabouts as he wanted to know how she had fared with the acquisition of his ship. He soon found out that she had left the city but she did have a twin brother who might know where she went. The Captain found Tyrian Di Mare at The Sugarmill Club and also found out that she had left for Alisar to find money to repay her debt. Once Tyrian found out what the debt was, he promised to pay this on her behalf. He agreed as long as she was the one that sailed the ship back into port.
