Valathrion

A mountain of seemingly endless height portrudes from the ocean, piercing the blue veil of the heavens and disappearing in mysterious, unimaginable heights.     Its massive trunk streches from horizon to horizon, nestling life, both wild and civilized, in its craggs and slopes, huge enough to house civilizations and entire ecosystems.     Even further down and outwards, its magnificent size gives rise to a massive expanse of gigantic foothills that gradually gives way to its flat basin, massive as a giant continent in order to support its inconcievable weight.     Along these shores, upon these endless plains and valley, among these massive mountains and within these giant craggs, live a thousand peoples, trading in wealth and violence, in love and hatred, in art and devastation amongs themselves, whilst the mystery of the mountains looms over them eternally, observing its children with the silent stare of an ever present guardian, a reminder that no matter the struggles on the ground, eternity remains, unchanging and ever-powerful, never shaken by the jubilant cries and bloody tears of the world below.     This is Valathrion.     The world around the mountain.     The witness of the pillar of eternity.     And this is the story of its people.
