The Emtu Coinage System by Suvto Va, Pumot, 35th, 2994
The Emtu Coinage System is a system of currency used in Emtu. It has four different types of coins:
A Copper Mountain is the lowest form of currency, it is most often used by the poor folk. It gets its name from the Kopi Mountains, which contain a lot of copper.
A Bronze Tree is the next lowest form of currency, it is most often used by those who have semi-successful businesses. It gets its name from the Kemait Forest because that is where they started being used. A bronze tree is worth 9 copper mountains.
A Gold Dune is the second highest form of currency, it is most often used by successful businessmen. It gets its name from Tantse Minor's many hidden gold deposits. Tantse Minor is home to gold in the sand, however, there was a gold rush that used up all of the obvious gold deposits. A gold dune is worth 9 bronze trees.
A Silver River is the highest form of currency, it is most often used by the richest of the rich. It gets its name from the Baiku River's many bits of silver. People are able to pan for silver in the Baiku River. However, it is seen as a sacred act and must be done with the permission of one of the Nine River Temples. The amount of silver that has been panned over time has built up into billions of coins. A Silver River is worth 9 Gold Dunes.
These four different types of currency are used to help keep track of who has the most money.
