Dragonborn

Dragonborn are a hybrid race born from those suffering from dragonblight, caused by constant long term exposure to the magical radiation given off by dragons that lair nearby. Any child conceived during the time after an individual has contracted dragonblight will be born as an egg. That after three additional months will develop into a true dragonborn.
Dragonborn usually takes on the culture of their parents, however, there are dragonborn communities that make their homes in proximity to a dragon's lair.
Dragonborn are inherently immune to dragonblight and can dwell near a dragon's lair indefinitely. Because of this many older dragons have servants consisting of either Dragonborn or Kobold communities.
