Promts 26 of Mapvember: A plant species that grows it's seeds in a pod

The Kuori tree is a giant tree that can be found at the heart of the western forest. The only one left of it's kind it is the home to the Surks. The tree and the cats live in a symbiotic relationship where the tree produces seedpods every winter solstice, that the Surks harvests. The seeds are highly nutritional but tradition is to always plant one quarter of the seeds. The Surks venture further and further away in hopes of finding a place suitable to propagate a Kuori tree. It's unclear how many seeds lies buried in the soil of Varmot, waiting for the first frost to start growing. Maybe one day the trees will rise tall and proud over the contintent again.
