U.U.Verse

Monsters have roamed the Earth for as long as we have; for thousands of years, they remained in the corners of our eyes and in the hushed voices of passersby, with only the most unfortunate ever having direct contact. In the newly-established United States of America, tales of monsters were given even less credit—at least until the height of the Civil War, when a monster was openly slain in the midst of battle. From then on, monster attacks have grown more prominent, and people are less safe than ever.   Hunters have dedicated their professional lives to tracking down supernatural threats and eliminating them. Scientific advancements have pushed the boundaries of what was previously thought possible, allowing Hunters to use brand new technologies to help save those in danger. Even magic has developed considerably in the last century, allowing humans - whom were previously unable to use the mysterious force at all - to utilize new and inventive ways to protect themselves. Yet somehow, despite all their efforts, humanity seems to be fighting a losing battle.   The world is going to hell. If the monsters aren't stopped - and soon - then they may be all that's left.
