ORDER - Thirasmus

HE who presides over the barriers between worlds, the enforced nature of reality and the place of mortals within it.

The Highly Divine Thirasmus Nebmaat, One with the Weave, True God of Order

"This will do." HE stated. Ephemeral runes danced silently around a neatly arranged collection of rare, planar talismans. Observent outsiders would have noted the soft glow of these items formed a metaphorical map of the cosmos. However, Thirasmus was alone.

Thirasmus, True God of Order, is the most recent ascension to the pantheon of Urvén. HE is often viewed as the patron deity of humanity due to HIS well-documented, mortal origins, but HIS actions in the time preceding HIS ascension were for the good of all mortals: protecting the material from the many other planes of existence.

Artifacts

Thirasmus is known for two artifacts: HIS spear, The Material's Tenet, forged by Zzandic, and HIS staff, World's Root. There are documented accounts of these being donated to heroes in the service of order, particularly against agents of the planes or undeath.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Thirasmus' symbol is a golden, downward pointing equilateral triangle containing a silver, six-pointed star. It is often presented as a simple carving or engraving due to the relative lack of ostentatious decorations within the church. However, when constructed from previous metals, the points of the star are sometimes affixed with a small jewel representing each of the inner planes (the Feywild in green, the Shadowfel in black, Fire in red, Water in blue, Air in white and Earth in brown.)

Holidays

A five-day period beginning on the 6th of Hope is set aside in human dominated lands as a time to remember HIS ascension. Many fast for the first 48 hours before a feast occurs on the 8th, the day marked as coinciding with the ascension itself. It is not a flamboyant festival, instead mostly being spent in quiet contemplation and prayer.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Thirasmus was born in the year 3478EC in a riverside town within the modern day borders of Phaerops. HIS father was a respected military leader, HIS mother a scribe with an innate gift for magic. There are not many records of HIS childhood, but it is generally accepted that HE did not awaken an intrinsic link to the the Weave, instead turning a formidable intellect towards arcane scholarship, martial training and battlefield logistics. By the age of 19, HE was already rising through the officers ranks of the local government military.

In the year 3494EC, Thirasmus was captured and imprisoned by a rival faction. While comfortable, the incarceration was exceptionally secure. To escape, HE was forced to break a mirror to fashion the pieces into a makeshift entry to the Plane of Mirrors. The travels through the plane took many months and, while dangerous, allowed HIM to gather esoteric knowledge and trinkets. Years of further wandering throughout the planes followed and both Thirasmus' martial prowess and arcane skill improved. By the time HE returned to the Material, HE was 43 years old.

It is unknown how or when Thirasmus formed an alliance with the relatively recently ascended Zzandic, True God of the Forge, but HE returned the Material with a wealth of knowledge, renewed purpose and a mighty spear in HIS hand pointed at all who would breach the sanctity of the planar order. Years were spent in service of this purpose; planar ingresses sealed, thresholds hidden and mighty beasts of outside influence were slain. During nearly a decade of activity, Thirasmus acted as a military leader, a regent and a scholar, while still spending time wandering the planes.

In the year 3529EC, soon to be known as the year of ascension (00AA), Thirasmus made arrangements to relinquish HIS official duties and made preparations to leave the material plane permanently. HE travelled to the Astral and was never mortal again. Later that year, dozens of servitors in HIS image appeared throughout Urvén, performing miracles and promoting a new order to the cosmos. HIS avatar appeared close to HIS hometown, plucking a tree from the ground and willing it into a staff. HE remained for several days, answering questions and forming the basis for the faith that would rapidly take over human society.

Accomplishments & Achievements

As an extension of his scholarly pursuits, Thirasmus learned the "truth of the world" and leveraged HIS knowledge and actions into ascending into godhood. The accounts of Thirasmus' life do not include details on this process.

HIS avatar bowed lightly to the high priest and the village elder, a direct contrast to their actual heirarchy. "I will join you in this struggle. These lands are to be safe for all mortals, the planes cannot interfere." And it was so. The chaotic ingress that had swallowed so many was unwritten by HIS word, the denizens spilling forth unravelled.
