The Hole

The Hole is named rather unimaginatively, for a huge cylindrical hole in the ground. The hole itself is approximately 1/4 mile in diameter. Curiously, the sides of the hole are perfectly smooth, as though cut with some massive tool. The hole's depth is unknown, it stretches very deep, its bottom barely visible at high noon. Local Kalari avoid the place out of superstition but there are rumors of massive silver veins exposed partway down. These rumors occasionally attract prospectors, launching expeditions that are seldom heard from again.

Purpose / Function

While it is clearly not a natural formation, the purpose of the place can only be speculated.
