Great Lighthouse of Ashur
The Great Lighthouse of Ashur is a massive structure designed to guide ships to Ashur's port through the darkest nights or thickest fog. The lighthouse towers over even the highest structures of the city and can be seen for many miles in any direction. The light at it's heart is magically enchanted to be seen through even supernatural darkness. The lighthouse is crewed by a small family who have served the role of caretakers for generations.
The lighthouse is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Ur'En.

History
The lighthouse itself is considered to have been a vanity project of the living god Artenimous of the The Triumvirate before his assassination at the hands of Johaspus the Godslayer. Before it's construction, more humble lighthouse served the purpose of guiding ships to harbor adequately. However, after construction began on the Brass Colossus in Lagash, the god could not sit idle while his rival, Praetorus created a titanic monument to himself and his city.
When the god fell, there was discussion of razing the structure to erase the memory of the tyrant's rule but was abandoned after the designs for a replacement lighthouse were rejected several times.
