Gor'Gal Mines

The Gor'Gal Mines are one of the most productive mines in all of Ur'En. Located high in the White-Bone-Teeth Mountains, the mines are remote, and its miners live in a small settlement nearby. The mines produce silver, copper, tin and precious gems from deep within the mountain. It is said that half of the royal treasury of Druj came from the Gor'Gal mines. Its tunnels are poorly mapped and more complex and extensive than its overseers care to admit. Some shafts run seemingly miles deep and some tunnels have been discovered that were not the work of the miners.

Conditions in the mine are harsh, and most of its workers do so under the whip of Slavery or as convicted criminals. The temperature during the day can reach scorching degrees. The miners are fed and equipped poorly. Cave-ins and other accidents are common and miners sometimes disappear in the deeper tunnels, never to be seen again. Because of all this, the mines have seen no end of uprisings, revolts and harsh-crack downs. Guards are ruthless in repressing descent and so much as a whisper of revolution can earn a flogging or the hangman's noose.
