Bridge to Nowhere
Among the grand vistas of the Redlands stands a magnificent arch the local Kalari call The Bridge to Nowhere. The bridge is a natural formation that stretches almost half a mile across. This simple beauty would hardly be enough to make the locals take notice. However, legends tell that the bridge might actually lead "somewhere." On several occasions, a large doorway made of streaking multi-colored energy has appeared at the end of the bridge for a brief time, before vanishing. A world beyond was glimpsed through the portal, and on at least one occasion, intrepid explorers passed through the gateway, never to be seen again.
Soothsayers claim to be able to predict these openings based on the movement of the stars. This has some concerned, as with most doors, the opening works both ways. Ancient Kalari legends speak of a powerful menace that emerged from the portal long ago, wreaking havoc across the land before being subdued. If this is the case, whatever lies on the other side of the bridge should remain there for the benefit of Ur'En.
