Bonesteel

Bonesteel is a rare material usually found as the main structural component of ancient ruins. It is effectively indestructible, as no known means of damaging or even altering it has thus been found by modern scholars. Objects made out of this material are exceedingly rare, and the few that are known are considered legendary and often have fantastic properties. Bonesteel is also very conducive to magic and will disperse impacting magic throughout the material, or along pre-set pathways usually visible veins of light-blue crystal within the object or structure.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Bonesteel is an odd material, it is chalk-white in color, with a oddly fibrous texture comparable to bone marrow, though upon touch it feels rather smooth. Structures or objects made out of this material mesh with their components or surrounding terrain giving the impression of something that has been grown rather than built. Objects will look like one solid piece with any additional components or secondary materials seamlessly embedded within, and structures will look like they have grown out of the ground upon which they are built.

Physical & Chemical Properties

This material is entirely indestructible and highly conducive to magic, allowing magic to flow freely through it and disperse within the material. Occasionally, Bonesteel objects or structures will have crystal veins and nodes that help channel magical energies and allow for potent magical effects.

Geology & Geography

Bonesteel is primarily found as the main structural component of ancient ruins, though occasionally large chunks of objects can be found, and are frequently used as a cornerstone or foundation for other structures, providing far more resilience and stability than any other material. Bonesteel, when found is almost always in pre-existing structures or large fragments that appear to once have been part of a structure, smaller items or mundane items are almost never found.

Origin & Source

Most modern scholars believe Bonesteel to be the creation of the gods, as its properties and the items and structures built from it are wondrous to the extreme in most cases.
