The Cave itself is now silent.
Finding the Journal of Arduke the tender of this unholy ruin.
The Journal is battered and mostly ruined from both blood, water some burns.
It contains and details:
As far as you can understand it details several arcane rituals as well as research into different animals, plants and the occult.
The last 20 or so pages although most aren't readable details his stay here and mention the Abyss, Deaths Door and Deaths Gate.
Death's Door from what you gather is a way of creating some kind of portal between two points as if folding the material plane through the Abyss, letting you step through one Door and appear out another. The details of the Deaths Gate however is burned and washed away.
Finding: Ring of the Raven - Sigil of House Ramsay of Ravenholme. Finding: The letter from Baron Ramsay to Arduke on Arduke's body, the one propped up on the Sarcophagus with the golden spear piercing his heart. The letter reading as follows: Arduke, It is as I thought, my useless wife is plotting against me. It seems she has gotten some friends in court after all, and somehow she has won them over. None could say no to that cursed pretty face for long. It doesn't matter, they'll soon all be dead - I'll make sure they suffer, and, when it all blows up, I'll make sure they blame themselves. Preparations are going according to plan, the gate is soon done, so is the door. At the first rest of Hearthfire you will open the door on your end. You weren't overdoing it when you stressed the importance of warding against the Harbingers, the abyssal slithers got to 5 of my men while the door searched for its mate. - We'll have to discuss that when you return.
