Unknown Earth

Our world is not as it seems. The image that we have of our reality is one that is carefully manufactured by the powers that be. There are things that the government and other organizations don't want us to know about. There are cover ups to prevent the shattering of the fragile denial-born peace of our perceptions. To know that which we are not allowed to know would create panic, and the thin veil of ignorance is carefully curated with the intent to protect the public. And to control it.   The truth is that those in power do what they can to contain the hidden threats to our existence that hide in the shadows and on the fringes of our world. While many would see this as the impossible conjecture of misguided conspiracy theorists, there is in fact a large grain of truth to many of the outlandish claims that exist outside of mainstream science. Aliens walk among us, hiding in plain sight while they pursue their hidden agendas that manipulate innocent citizens of our planet. They appear over our skies at night, observing our world and its people. The various factions and species war among one another, using our earth as a battleground for their conflict. But they are not the only threat. Other anomalies exist that compromise the integrity of the society in which we live. Androids. Time travelers. Mutants.   Humanity has only just begun coming to terms with that which they can't explain, and when confronted with the uncomfortable reality of these things, most have chosen to try to put the lid back on the box, hoping to keep the rest of the world in a state of blissful ignorance. Government agencies and secret societies do their best to unravel the mysteries of these previously unexplained phenomena, all while doing anything necessary to keep the masses from finding out the truth. But silencing witnesses can be messy business, and sometimes the knowledge gained by these organizations is misused by those with malicious or misguided intentions.   Many in our world are unready to face the truth that there are things out there that we do not understand.
