The Uncanny Valley
Geography
The Uncanny Valley is a dry patch of land stretching across the center of the continent. Sometimes there's windswept grass, most times there's not. Towards the south the flat landscape gives way to hills and enormous rock formations.
Fauna & Flora
Part of what makes the valley so uncanny is its lack of animals. Go out a bit from the hardy settlements dotting the landscape and listen–you won't hear anything most of the time.
Maybe that's why Angels seem to like it.
Natural Resources
At a glance, the Uncanny Valley has absolutely nothing of value. Residents, however, swear on the deep veins of magic pulsing through it. Some say it gives the place a strange comfort, a feeling wrapping around everything like a soft blanket that makes it difficult to leave.
