Umber Moss

Two people kept prisoner in the empirical spire, one for espionage and the other a generator of resources and power (literally). Both escape the spire after destroying the star Observatory; a device the Empress used to shield the frequency of SOES, a powerful all knowing entity, known also the Sun. Breaking the sheild causes the bioengineered plague, dark brown moss like in appearance, to sweep and infect the world again. The few that have nanotech are effected negatively by SOES as well, causing headaches, nightterrors and inescapable hallucenactions. The escaped duo must trek to the one person they know has the solutions to this catastrophe.
