Unnamed Northern Eastern Settlement of Meta

The North-Eastern tip of Meta, home to a seaside tundra and though environment. Here, hunting is the name of the game, with most vegetation only being in the form of thick or thorny bushes and trees. In order to survive and thrive, one must be ready to get their hands dirty and work hard.

International trade is scarce, potential traders must cross vast empty lands and through the ruins of past settlements. The locals here often trade furs and trained beasts for quality tools and equipment. This settlement sits roughly two miles from the norther shore, allowing the coastal animals some quiet space, as well as potential high-tides and storm waters. Flooding of the coast happens rarely, but still enough to warrant the slight move, as the icy waters can be most damaging to infrastructure.   As a small village, the population caps at just over 300 residents. Of these "~300". ~70 are underage, 50 meet senior residency age, 100 tend to the village, and the remaining ~50 work infrastructure or hunting. Roughly 60% of the population is female-oriented, and child-rearing is taken on by whomever a child imprints on first. For everyone family house in the village, comes a small family of trained beasts, often accompanying traveling or working members.   What few farmers exist, focus on dense trees and bushes, maintaining the wood and carefully drying them post-harvest for the best fire-yield. Of these farmers, a handful tend to the natural wildlife gardens, a small amount of fruit-bearing plants that have taken root long before the settlement came to be. Propagation from these wild plants rarely succeed, and even the slightest damage can drastically affect the health for many years. As such, harvesting and mistreating such plants is 'outlawed', and many of those who are found disrupting the garden unauthorized risk banishment.
