The Siren of the Deep

Helle

An eastern-based deep-water siren, well known for her harem of stolen wives. Ironically enough, only about half of her 'wives' are even female, it is said she prefers to use the term in apparent endearment. Most of her 'wives' were victims of abuse, assault, harassment, or toxic relationships. While she does not go out of her way to punish the abusers if they seek to fight her and take back a wife she kills them without mercy. Anyone, really, who tries to 'rescue' or approach her wives are quick to be brutalized or killed, never brought anywhere close to her den. As for any children her 'wives' may have left on land, if they have nowhere else to go, they are brought safely to the den to live in peace with their parents. Because of this Helle's den is seen as a sort of sanctuary for those who have been victimized, to the point where a cult was created. They sing her praise and beg to be brought to the den, and far away from the land that brought them harm, but Helle never answers or acknowledges them, and it is unknown as to why.
