The Fellowship

A recent development along the South-Eastern coast of Meta has disturbed the coastal trade and travel routes. A series of camps both newly in use and recently abandoned litter the route, all containing notes and symbols hinting at a potential religious or gang affiliation. Caution is advised!

Only a couple dozen strong, the Seaside Fellowship believe waterspouts an hurricanes are proof of an on-going war between Tempest and Oseala.   Unlike most modern religions and belief-systems of Ultimus, the fellowship is detached from greater-being and deities. Instead, they worship the storms as by-product of emotions and one's imprint on the natural world. High-winds, large crashing waves, ocean-life moving to more areas- all these are seen as symbols of the different approaches one may have to a challenge in life. Making a scene or argument, aggressive outbursts, and fleeing to a quiet or space place. Strong emotions can take over one's sense of right/wrong, purpose, and sanity in the heat of the moment. Ultimately these emotions are believed to manifest along the coasts, following wind and water currents.   Part of their practice involves storm-chasing. Each storm is given a name reflecting the culture it resides in and perceived emotions it manifests. This, according to the fellowship, helps to alleviate tension and allow the emotions to give way in a more natural and less damaging process. In the case of sea-based phenomenon, most Fellowship members will remain along the coast while more prepared individuals venture out to investigate the storm and discuss the next move. Even then, Fellowship members will rarely venture into certain types of settlements, such as trading ports and large towns or cities.
