Matilda Aflaro is the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for the Taishan government. She oversees the processing of security clearance and the outflow of information from the Taishan Defense Department (TDD).

Personal history

Matilda Aflaro was born and raised by a relatively poor family in the Underside district of Taisha. As a middle child with eight siblings, she spent the majority of her childhood having only her basic needs met. Her parents weren't neglectful, but they only had so much time outside of their multiple jobs. 
Aflaro's exceptional intelligence put her at the top of her class throughout grade school, earning her a full scholarship to North Taishan University's prestigious political studies program. The Taishan government originally hired her as an academic adviser, but her meticulous attention to detail and obsession with efficiency got her promoted to one of the highest offices not coveted by the gods.
