The Creation of the World

In the beginning there were the four Sisters, who existed when time began and will exist until it ends. They lived together on the divine plane of Elysian. Each had their own personal plane where their power was at its fullest and the creatures displayed the characteristics of each sister in worship to their patron.   One day, Greiva came to the others and said she wished to create something new. A plane where all the Sisters would have an influence and where creatures would reflect aspects of all of them. Together the Sisters worked on this world and so the material plane was born, and the world of Tychell took its place within the cosmos.   The Sisters decided they should each lend a part of their power to create a caretaker of this world, the first Scion, Karala. Karala loved her world and used her power to nurture and grow the fledgling plane into a vibrant world. But she looked to Elysian, where the Sisters sat in power over her. She began to be restless with Tychell and sought to join the sisters in the paradise of Elysian.   The Sisters would have none of this and so Karala began to attack each Sister's plane in turn. Giving the gift of free will to denizens of the planes, turning them into the chaotic elemental planes. This diminished the Sisters' power to a point where Karala struck out at Elysian itself. The Sisters banded together and with their combined power stuck down Karala, banishing her to her a new plane of torment and pain, known as Sacra.   As Karala was banished, she made one final gambit, she created a shadowy reflection of Tychell, twisted and corrupted and laid upon the dark side of the world. This Shadowfell was hers and she was able to manipulate it, even from the darkness of her new prison.   With Karala banished, the Sisters vowed never to work on such a being together again. While each Sister would go on to create many other Scions, no more than two Sisters would ever work together for fear of creating another being like the first Scion.
