Session 6 (01. 08. 2018)

Together with Chief Wogar, Kizziar, Nyx and four orcs, the group waited in a suitable spot to engage the Regency forces. When the enemy arrived, they brought a nasty surprise: instead of the 15 soldiers the scouts had reported, 25 appeared, with a mysterious woman as their leader. Thus began a desperate fight for survival.
The orcs charged forward with Dagger, Kim and Chef while the rest of the group hung back, firing at the enemy from wooden platforms in the trees. Nyx’s and Kizziar’s group did well on the right flank: they engaged and successfully defeated one Regency squad. Unfortunately, with the rest of the squads focusing on the left flank, the line there quickly collapsed. Wogar fell with two of his warriors, shortly followed by Chef, whom the soldiers executed as he lay on the ground. Aella and Lia fled to the east, regrouping with Carthigan, Morgyn and Braz. The Regency immolators began to set fire to the forest, forcing the latter two to leave their platform in a hurry as the tree beneath them threatened to collapse.
Meanwhile, Dagger, Kim and Nyx engaged the mysterious magic-wielding enemy leader, a half-elven woman whose voice seemed oddly familiar to Lia. A tense fight ensued, during which they eventually forced her to sound the retreat. About half of the Regency troops ended up escaping, along with the leader. There were no more casualties, though this was a meager comfort. Nobody had really won.
