Norva

Scion of Frost

"The Frostmaiden is a quiet and withdrawn deity. Even among the pantheon she is hardly seen, and when she does make an appearance she says little, but her words are usually profound. It is extremely rare for mortals to know when she intervenes in their lives. Her fury, when riled has all the force of a midwinter blizzard. She is patient, and does not rush headlong into danger."   Neves Cole - 1st of the Midwinter Knights

Goals

She wishes for everyone to weed out the doubts in their hearts, for those will weaken your ability of survival in this cruel cold world. Winter is a harsh and shall not be tainted or impeded by doubt.

Dogma

Within the darkest and coldest nights lies the potential for survival. Be always coolheaded and honorable, for cruelty and deception show not the path through the frost. Winter is a time of quiet, peace and tranquility; it is a time of rest and change. It is the longest of seasons and the harshest to endure; those that survive its frigid winds are stronger for it. Remember to give every soul the opportunity to seek light. The chill touch of a winter's kiss is a mighy weapon and should never be used without first analyzing the implications and vowing to use it with revere. All life is the same, for all life depends on one another. The harsh stormy winter nights are a sign of Skalistas blessing for they cleanse the soul and clear the way for new paths.
A clear midwinter night is a good omen.

Church

The clergy of Norva possess no well organized congregation. Her clerics are commonly referred to as Midwinter Knights, and they typically pray at shrines that can be found dotting the land. Standing churches devoted to Norva do not exist, for a true midwinter frost should not be contained. Norva's largest following is found in Kesh between the people of the alliance for their harsh and cold lands turn the people to pray for calm nights during the winter season.
Some very few even practice sacrifices towards her to appease her and thus avoid the crippling cold winters.

Rites, Rituals, Holy Days

The only holy day Norva's worshippers formally recognize is the winter solstice. The midway point through the season is a milestone in any follower of the Midwinter Queen. Members of her clergy also set aside days throughout the year in which they remind those who have too much of the harsh conditions a snowstorm can provide.
Once per year followers are to perform an act of endurance to strengthen their ability to endure the harsh cold winds.
