Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Modelled after Ronald Farlight with a few benefitial alterations, Bittock has a light build meant for academics more than combat.
Body Features
As he wears no clothing his bronze colored plating can be seen with minor decorations etched in. The plates look in good shape, as if they have not experienced much wear. Cogs protrude from his body and can be seen turning to match with the ticking noise that follows him.
Facial Features
His face is static, showing the same expression constantly. Two depressions sit where eyes should be, although it serves no purpose. Instead, burnt orange runes around the outside of the eyes are used by Bittock to see. In place of a mouth there is an indented groove drawn into a mimic of a smile.
Physical quirks
A ticking sound is made by the gears that animate him grinding against eachother. Bittock holds a good posture, standing up straight and proud.
Special abilities
With the way Bittock's body is set up, Chronomancy spells are much easier for him to channel than an organic humanoid. The rythm of gears passing by eachother also aids in keeping perfect time, as well as being a functioning compass.
Specialized Equipment
In addition to his companion Watch, a small box of cogs marked with arcane runes replaces the traditional wizard spellbook. Inserting these into his chest functions similarly to memorising spells for a day. --- His right hand contains all the components required for tinkering with mechanical objects.

Gender Identity
Although he has no physical sex, Bittock refers to himself as male as this was the same as the sex of the intended simulacra he was made for. He has no issues being refered to by most names or pronouns
Education
He had attended Transmutation lectures at the academy of Slemane in disguise, as well as personal tutoring from the lecturer himself. Much of his spare time was also spent studying the vast library of Selmane academy.
Employment
Although he had persued several trades for Farlight before he became more aware of himself, Bittock has never been officially employed or payed for work.
Accomplishments & Achievements
His academic studies have produced several feats, all of which have been kept quiet. The first of these is a small clockwork bat made of surplus watch pieces, named Watch, who helps Bittock to read while he rests in the evenings. He has also produced a chronomantic spell to aid his working speed, allowing him to produce four times the traditional human product in a day.
Failures & Embarrassments
Because of the ample time spent researching before attempting to apply knowledge, Bittock has only had few failures in the short time he has existed. Most of these are confined to minor magical mishaps such as setting small fires, or producing fractured images. --- One area where Bittock lacks is how literally he takes some language. This once lead to a month long research journey where he attempted to find out how a coin was magical if there was no trace of magic on it.
Intellectual Characteristics
He excells in extracting information from source material, especially because of his ability to prefectly recall anything he has experienced within the last month. Using this, he will often replay old scenarios, sometimes with the aid of magic, to adjust himself to a situation correctly. The knowledge he has gained from reading is especially useful, although his lack of experience means it is not always applied well. --- The speed at which he can pick up new talents was a particular feat of the Selmane academy's council, who placed him into stasis.
Morality & Philosophy
Bittock had inherited a moral compass from Farlight, however it has translated over poorly. Acting more as a hierarchy than a compass, Bittock will first ensure the wellbeing of himself and Farlight, then any close friends, before thinking of others that may be affected. He will confront most situations with a logical approach before thinking of the morality if there is an urgency to act.

Motivation
Prior to the events toward the end of his time at Selmane academy, Bittock's main motivation was learning everything possible about history and curating it into a collection. Sadly after Farlight's experiments took a turn downward, he has now left to persue a resolution to the problem.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Bittock is an excellent academic student, and apt at learning many different tasks. However his solitude has made him especially ineffective at socialising and interaction with other people.

Likes reading, puzzles, mysteries, stories (both historical and fictional), and interacting with new people. He dislikes rushing without thinking through options, danger, and misuse or shortening of words.

Always introduces himself using his full name as given by the dictionary defenition. Bittock talks as if a thesaurus has been permenantly installed into his head, attempting to use the perfect words to describe what he is talking about, and taking time to pick them carefully.
