Upon returning home he removed an ax from the woodshed walked over to Mr. and Mrs. Davis' house next door. Peter entered the Davises eating dinner in front of their radio. Peter made quick work of the 76-year-old couple. After dismembering the bodies he carried the piece back in a large burlap sack.
