Discord
The Discord family is Retter's descendants and other Twilight. The family likely started in 1738 when Erebus was born, creating the Discord family. Retter's original last name would be Roth, but because he was orphaned, he did not inherit the Roth surname. The Discord surname was originally a nickname. When Retter was in the trainee program, he had a habit of disagreeing and starting fights with other members. The captain gave him the nickname Discord as the definition is "A disagreement between people," the other trainees had no idea and thought that Retter's last name was Discord, and started referring to him as "Retter Discord," so he adopted that nickname into his surname.
While not limited to one appearance, many Discords do have common traits. For example, males are taller, females are shorter, and they often have darker hair colors, and Purple or red eyes. Females are picky eaters while males will eat almost everything.
Culture
The Discord family has adopted many different cultures into their own, but the one itself is... strange. They're very religious and traditional. They can be creepy and aggressive. Many even have an unhealthy obsession with weapons such as guns or swords. A lot of the time the women will keep their maiden name, which has caused some conflicts, but let's be honest if your last name was something cool like Discord would you really change it to Baumann or Kendrickson? Some women have changed their last names to sparks or Chambers, and they were considered disowned or only blood-related. They also have a thing against naming their children after someone. Frieda came up with that tradition

The Discords are very secretive about their lives and so many people don't know much about them, even after they were declared official royals.
History
In 1735, Retter made his last name Discord. in 1738, he married Frieda, who changed her last name from Lancelot to Discord. Later, they had two children. After Retter's abdication, his family retreated to a newly built Twilight Realm created for them and they hid there for years, occasionally coming out for reasons

Retter was good friends with Xinying's Emperor Yao. As the king traveled to many different countries, including Japan, Korea, New Rome, and the Americas. Selene is originally from Isla Del Encanto but was sent back to New Roseburg upon becoming a teenager.
