Festivals

Under the dominant faith of the Disciples, the major yearly festivals in Madara are:

• The Summer solstice, the longest day of the year, which is sacred to the disciple Ariel and celebrated from sunup until sundown. Particularly observed in Koth.


• The winter solstice, which is sometimes considered to be sacred to Alum. This is usually a lights festival and has many regional traditional foods across the peninsula.


• The spring equinox, which usually marks the new year, especially in Tigonne.


• Smaller, regional holidays that serve as remnants of older folk religions that have mostly faded away.
