Excerpt from SITG #2
You descend towards the south gate on horseback. Buying your mounts back from the mercenary company you worked for wasn't cheap, but it lends credibility to your appearance. As you near the gate you nod to one of the guards. His eye catches yours in recognition.
"Hey, friend!" you call out to him. "Where can I sign on with the city guard?"
He exchanges a look with his fellow, who shrugs and points down one of the roads splitting off into the city proper.
"Barracks down that way," he says. "Ask for Sergeant Kamali."
