Tuleria

Tulera is a world which blends elements of our Modern World with that of a Fantasy World.   The Modern aspects of this world include World Powers which have competed against each other for control of Tulera's resources, spreading their own ideologies, and advancing their technologies to gain an edge over their competition. A Cold War that grips the world in fear and uncertainty for the future of Tulera. With the invention of the Kotratic bomb, another all out war could bring about the beginnings of a post apocalyptic Dark Age.     The Fantasy aspects of this world include multiple races such as Gerreks, Ignians, Astrians, and numerous others. Fantasy creatures are apart of this world, except they participate in a functioning ecosystem. Which means that creatures must have some practicality for existing. (So no annoying Mimics and slimes which destroy your equipment)   The races of Tulera all have a deep connection to Kor which is what everything in existence stems from. Plants and animals collect this energy through a structured ecosystem which the races consume to maintain their own existence. Kor can also be used to power machines when converted to koricity which has greatly changed the world in the past 2 centuries.   An individual has the innate ability to use Kor directly with their capabilities based on their race and the environment in which they are raised in their youth. For example, the Gerrek's are a people that live in The Tulgerath, a natural cavern system which is located under the surface of Tulera. Because of this, their people have a deep affinity to the dark and the earth. They can use their Kor to see in the dark like it was daylight and they can use it to strengthen their claws to dig more efficiently or to defend themselves from physical threats. However, Kor is a finite resource and must be used responsibly. They can eat or drink to recover Kor in the short-term, but sleep will eventually be necessary to fully recover their Kor capacity. Sleeping decreases the rate at which an individual burns Kor which is greater the longer they are awake. It also allows the body to refill Kor directly from the Sun and from the core of the earth. This will be explained more in depth in the Kor section.   There have been historical figures who have expanded the uses of Kor through scientific approaches and there are those who have developed their Kor to have a larger capacity which allows further capabilities. Throughout history, Kor management has proven vital to any army's efficiency.
