Fort Sola
The town of Fort Sola is a quiet place, where locals go about their business with their heads down and hoods drawn. The atmosphere inside the walled town is one of apprehension, and it is impossible to ignore the large fortress that stands on the northern edge of the town. Rumors say that the wilderness around Fort Sola holds other, secret, military installations and testing grounds, as well as a labor camp designed for prisoners of war.
The harbor of Fort Sola is the only one in the isolationist kingdom that allows foreign ships to dock. Most foreigners land in Fort Sola, do their business, and leave, as these visitors are not made to feel welcome. The harbor, warehouses, and trading post are the only buildings constructed outside of Fort Sola's formidable walls, and the large gatehouse guarding the town's entrance is reinforced with legionnaires at all hours.
Government
The town is ruled by the local Prelate of Thunder, a dwarven woman named Thala. She is well-known in town as a merciless woman with steel in her heart. Most residents fear her attention.
Infrastructure
Most of the folk that live in Fort Sola work in the warehouses and storehouses that fill their streets, processing orders sent in from faraway countries for alchemical supplies and clockwork machines. Very little is produced in Fort Sola. Instead, the town's populace functions as a middle-man between the kingdom's heart of production and the outside world.
