Symptoms

Physical symptoms of this viral disease include yellow-ish head-sized boils that slowly emerge covering the person's entire body. Other physical conditions of the disease include the back of the victim hunching over, snapping into a new position, the spine breaking into place.  The skin also turns grey and the teeth of the victim extend and their feet enlarge to a preposterous sized.  Mental conditions include the brain facing headaches which are the first indication of the brain slowly re-writing itself to a more primal state.

Treatment

The only cure is from a ritual spell performed by a cleric or paladin trained in focusing the destroy undead which retches the disease from the body. However, if it is too late into the virus decay of the victim's body they will be killed by the holy origin of the spell.

Prognosis

The condition emerges in stages with the headaches being the first symptom followed by the turning of the skin the boils emerging and the spine breaking. The final stage of the virus if the mind reverting to the primal state and the victim turning undead.

Cultural Reception

The perception of this viral disease is deep fear. Those who acquire the disease have a very slim chance of ever being cured due to the rapidness of the disease and only expert clerics can clear the virus from a person system.
