Back when assassination was considered a part of life, with the centuries-long war that was slowly reaching towards a conclusion, the one thing that accelerated this was the introduction of the La Mort Pas Vu, or 'The Unseen Death'. The poison killed nearly half the city of Han'hala before people realized they were being poisoned and stopped eating and drinking. The entire place becoming a ghost town in days. The introduction of this poison crippled the nation and ever since, and many poisoners are seen with wariness for fear of what new disaster they might bring unto the land.
