Land of the Alps
Geography
The Alps are, besides the large set of mountains off to the far east, a set of vast plains as well as the Greathorn Forest. Besides these features, to the far north of the continent, there are the icy lands that make up the hidden state of Salvor. Unknown to many, however, is that this frozen abyss houses some of the most innovative minds to ever grace the planet, including many dwarf and gnomish tinkerers. Regardless, the Land of the Alps is a fairly hospitable place and offers much land for people to thrive.
Flora & Fauna
The flora of the continent includes many different types of plant life. It is to the point where categorizing it all would result in naming at least several dozen different species of flowers and trees. In general fashion, however, the plant life of the area is tall grasses that slowly converted into forms of nutritional grain, or they are large deciduous trees that are useful for cutting down to recover strong wood for buildings. The fauna, on the other hand, is much simpler to describe. Within the continent, there is only a handful of natural beasts that are left before one takes into account magical monstrosities that have resulted from experimentation or other factors. As such, the most common forms of animals that live are the great korrock warbeasts of the Orc and Goblin tribes in Gorshmarch, to the timberwolves of the plains regions. However, the most critical beasts to account for are certainly the bears that dot the landscape, some even having gone as far as up into the area of Salvor to make their dens. However, the most prominent resources that one can find within the Alps continent is not limited to just what is above ground. Below the surface, and in the mountains that dot the side of the land, there lie vast amounts of iron, coal, and aurelium.
