A young man dressed in military uniform grips his spear tightly, knuckles turning white he looks out at the water beside him.
The man turns around and shouts to a legion of soldiers dressed like him, as he barks orders the men rush down to the shore and start piling into small, flat boats.
The man looks back to tower in the distance, salutes the flag flying above it, pauses, takes a breath, and climbs into one of the boats.
As if practiced a thousand times before the boats silently push off of the shore and head out into the sea.
