Kroxite

The mysterious purple crystal structure found throughout the Availion Islands. Often found in the volcanic caves of the islands, but many of the extraction methods are closely guarded secrets.
Heavily sought after for it's powerful alchemical properties, as well a status symbol amongst the nobles.
It is a poorly understood mineral and has many rumors and theories about the origins and uses of the crystal.

Discovery

Discovered by Availion on his first journey. Setting the crystals into a necklace as a gift. Which upon getting enchanted caused an unexpected reaction consuming the colour of the crystals leaving just cracked and pale white stones in its place.

Trade & Market

While heavily sought after on the mainland only a few designated companies are allowed to import it to Gorian.
The tight regulations and taxes have made the mineral exceptionally expensive on the mainland. Averaging 5gp/gram from official sellers.
Most companies that export it from the islands purchase it from the locals at 1gp/gram.

Law & Regulation

Most nations maintain tight regulations over the mineral due to the powerful magical implications. Requiring owners to have certificates of where they purchased it from and the proper taxes were paid.
