Effect

Transmutes your soul into a weapon that best defines it. It can range from a simple dagger to a war hammer, or in special cases even a part of your own body. Given enough training and use of the spell, it can ascend, releasing a special ability unique to each soul weapon, although this situation is very rare, even for years and years of training. An ascended weapon becomes nearly indestructible.

Side/Secondary Effects

If the weapon itself gets damaged, or destroyed, the user dies with it. Depending on your state of emotion at a certain time, it can also be fatally wounded.

Discovery

This spell was created in the first years of Gungnir, by Professor Belmort, to prove the connection of an arcane to the mana pool, and to explore the extents of magic on a person's body or soul. He also created a spell to ascend all soul weapons, but the only copy of this tome was lost to time. In the current era, few people use it, because revealing a soul weapon becomes an instant weakness in warfare, or maybe accidentally destruction have occurred. But in the other hand, some cultures have adopted the soul weapon as not something to be feared, but something to be used and taken care off. For example, in the high fortress of Heavenfjord, traditions of the people living there, called sollists, are exactly this, to incorporate soul weapons into martial styles, as well as for self care. Also a good example is for Helian culture in marriages, where it is customary to bride and groom to exchange soul weapons and care for them for life.
