Keen-eyed Zhelliant

Appearance

Zhelliant is a vi who displays a mix of typical sexual characteristics. She is much taller than the average female vi (reaching a height of 6'7") and has a deeper voice, but does not have the body mass of a typical male vi, making her appear extremely lanky. Her body is patterned by large, banded stripes of a bright orange and her eyes are an auburn. Zhelliant dresses in very elaborate clothing in a style normally belonging to hyrin of Tatsune, with patterns and bright colors. She carries only an elaborate dagger and a small firearm on her.

Background

Zhelliant is affected by an intersex condition. Despite being raised female by her family, she was also treated with suspicion and felt ostracized by them. For much of her life, the scrutiny on her only intensified her drive for success, landing her a respectable job and a generous degree of wealth. Her entrepreneurial sense eventually lead her to the hyrin, sensing there was a market in Inefou for goods from "exotic" cultures. But, unlike others who had tread down the same path, she found a sense of camaraderie with the hyrin. She tried to work within the system of Inefou to change things, but was quickly thought of as a dissident and found herself robbed of every title of respectability she had worked so hard to obtain. Taking some of her loyal subordinates with her and using what was left of her wealth to purchase a ship, she turned away from the Empire.

Motivations

Zhelliant is primarily motivated by a thought of peace between vi and hyrin and believes trade is the way to do that. But she has also fully taken to heart her exile and holds no love for Inefou. */

Current Life

She is the captain of Veth Vibrancy. They are labeled pirates by authorities in Inefou, but rarely participate in theft of goods from Ine ships and instead focus on legitimate trading between various frontier and Tatsune territories. They are wanted primarily for tax evasion.
